Troubleshooting when D6 lights up red if fuse is ok

Important

Indicator diode may light up red if the device is in battery operation or when recharging after prolonged battery operation.

  • Check that the jumper is on JU1 and JU7 and that cable (24) is secure and not screwed into the insulation.

  • Check with a multimeter if the voltage to the batteries increases by 0.001 V per minute. Measure on battery poles or on circuit board, (Battery cable).

  • Disconnect batteries by removing load fuse between batteries (does not apply to units with one battery). Measure on load output (P2:1-2 or P2:3-4). The voltage at the load output must be more than 26.8 V. If the voltage is lower, the batteries are not fully charged or old and should be replaced. If batteries are older than three years, they should be replaced.

  • If the voltage is less than 26.8 V, disconnect the cable at J24, and trim the voltage on the power supply if the voltage then increases to 27.3 V. Then reconnect the cable to J24.
