These general conditions apply to the purchase of goods from Milleteknik AB. Note on translation of these Terms and Conditions: Translations of these terms and conditions are for guidance only and are not legally binding. Deviations from alem09

The second paragraph in § 38 of alem09 is not applicable to products sold by Milleteknik.

Conditions stated below replace the second paragraph of § 38 of alem09.

Warranty

Most products sold by Milleteknik have at least a two-year warranty. Batteries does not have any warranty. Two product series have a five-year warranty: NOVA and EN54 (but not the EN-54MX series).

The warranty covers manufacturing defects on the product. Faults on the product that occurred in connection with transport, installation or handling are not covered by the warranty.

For the warranty to apply, the following requirements must be met:

  • Nominal load must not exceed 80% of the product's rated capacity.

  • The ambient temperature must not exceed 30°C in average temperature.

  • Batteries of type 10+ Design Life must be used in the systems. Battery changes must take place at least every 5 years unless otherwise specified. This applies to products with a five-year warranty.

  • Nominal load and temperature may be logged by the device.

Compensation for such as troubleshooting, travel or working time in connection with locating faults, installation of repaired or replaced goods, more than one transport of goods or other events that may arise are not included in the guarantee. Compensation for warranty can never exceed the value of the item.

If the unit is purchased through a wholesaler or other supplier, other warranty conditions may apply.

Information - Batteries purchased by Milleteknik

We count batteries as sellable and in good condition 14 months from the date of manufacture. Batteries are marked by the battery manufacturer and we aim for the time from the manufacturing date of the battery to the time a battery leaves us to be as short as possible. Then our customers get the best reliability. Milleteknik has carefully selected a battery supplier as there are large differences in quality and thus the lifespan of batteries. We sell three types of lead-acid batteries: 6+ Design life* - batteries with a service life in standby power of 2-3 years. 10+ Design life* - batteries with a service life in standby power of 5-6 years. 12-15+ Design life* - batteries with a service life in standby power of 6-8 years. *Design life refers to durability of a battery that has not been used. Batteries generate energy through a chemical process that never completely stops, even if the battery is not in use. When a battery is used, the chemical process increases and the life of the battery decreases. Design Life thus does not refer to a battery's lifespan. A battery's lifespan depends on a variety of factors, with use and heat being the main causes of shorter lifespan.

Support and complaint handling

Our aftermarket department handles support, warranty matters and faulty purchases. Milleteknik provides support during the life of the product, but no longer than 10 years after the date of purchase. Costs for support are added after the warranty period has expired. Before a purchased product is returned to Milleteknik, it must be given a case number. Products that have been sent to Milleteknik without a case number are returned and the sender is charged a handling fee. Complaints about products purchased through a distributor are handled by the distributor. Contact support if you have any questions.

In case of suspected faulty goods, Milleteknik invoices the spare parts sent to the customer. Milleteknik investigates and determines whether the product in question falls under warranty and then credits the product when the replaced circuit board and or power supply is returned to Milleteknik. The return must be received by Milleteknik within 30 days, otherwise the complaint case will be closed and the credit invoice will therefore not be received.

Conditions for payment of compensation claims in connection with the replacement of components

In special cases, Milleteknik can pay compensation for replacement of circuit boards, power supplies or other components in the product.

All service for which the retailer or installer wants to be compensated by Milleteknik must always have a case number and approval by Milleteknik. Milleteknik must always be given the opportunity to carry out the service in-house. Form for compensation claims is obtained from support/aftermarket.

Replacing the circuit board or power supply should not take more than 30 minutes per unit.

What compensation is paid?

If entitled to compensation, the following levels of compensation apply:

The dealer is compensated with SEK 400 per each object (including the first unit), then SEK 200 per each subsequent unit in the object/site.

Maximum cost is SEK 3,200/working day.

Other compensation such as travel compensation, overtime compensation, handling, etc., is not paid.

Offers that have passed their validity date

Offers that have passed their validity date can be converted into orders subject to price adjustments, delivery time and product exchange.

Offers on customized products

In the case of quotations for products that are to be adapted to the customer, the regular delivery time does not apply. Offers that have passed their validity date can be converted into orders subject to price adjustments, delivery time and product exchange.

Delivery time must be stated in the offer. If the quotation lacks a delivery time, Milleteknik has the right to determine the delivery time.

Terms of purchase

Delivery conditions

FCA unless otherwise agreed in writing. The buyer pays shipping and accepts Milleteknik's choice of transport company.

Payment terms

Translation are for guidance only and are not legally binding. It is the Swedish original that applies to orders to Milleteknik AB. For more information contact us: +46 340 00 230. Credit is provided after the usual credit check, normally 30 days net. The size of the credit amount is assessed for each individual customer. Late payment interest is charged with a reference rate of +8% from the due date. Costs in connection with debt collection are charged afterwards.

Prices

Price review takes place every six months.

Battery prices are continuously adjusted taking into account raw material costs and exchange rates.

Offer prices are valid for a maximum of three months unless otherwise stated.

All prices are exclusive of VAT.

Product execution

According to Milleteknik's specification (not third-party products) at the time of delivery. For third-party products, its specification applies. We reserve the right to change product specifications without prior notice.
