The USF12-100H is a valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) battery with Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) technology and front terminal design, intended for stationary installations such as physical security systems, alarm systems, control and monitoring equipment, and other fixed infrastructure requiring backup power. Its front access design facilitates rack installation and maintenance in environments with limited space.
The battery uses microporous glass fiber separators to immobilize the electrolyte between the lead plates, minimizing leakage risk and ensuring even charge/discharge distribution. It features epoxy-sealed posts, built-in safety vents with flame arrestors, and a durable ABS plastic enclosure. According to the manufacturer’s specifications, the battery supports a broad operating and storage temperature range and has low self-discharge under normal conditions.
Capacity is temperature-dependent and should be considered during system planning for installations exposed to variable ambient conditions. The battery is designed primarily for long-duration standby use but can also manage short-duration discharges with relatively high current demands. Charging should follow specified voltage limits with appropriate temperature compensation.
The product is manufactured in accordance with applicable industry standards, including IEC 60896 and the EU Battery Directive. It is CE and UL certified. When stored at 25 °C, the battery can be kept without recharge for up to 6 months. For longer storage or higher temperatures, a freshening charge is required to prevent capacity loss.
